About us
The Poetry Vessel was forged during Nathan Hassall’s tenure as Malibu Poet Laureate, where he experienced firsthand the importance of supporting others in finding language for their deepest emotional states, spiritual yearnings, and alignment in their imaginations through poetry.
Thus, Nathan, assisted by his wife, Rachael, set out to create a space, a "vessel," where practicing poets could gather, refine their craft, and join a thriving global community of language artists.
To bring this vision to life, The Poetry Vessel produces poetry education videos and podcasts on our YouTube channel, featuring esteemed guests including National Bestselling Authors, U.S. and State Poet Laureates, and prize-winning poets.
To support your active writing practice, we also offer live online workshops where you can write alongside fellow poets, self-paced video courses like How Poetry Changes Your Brain, personalized 1-on-1 mentorship, and individual poem feedback with Nathan.
