1. General Services

The Poetry Vessel provides digital courses, live online workshops, and 1:1 poetry mentorship, writing, and editing services. We reserve the right to modify or discontinue any offering, course content, or scheduled event at our discretion.

2. Digital Products & Live Workshops

• Self-Guided Courses: Access to self-paced digital materials is granted upon successful payment. Materials are for personal, non-commercial use only and may not be redistributed, recorded, or resold.

• Live Workshops: Attendance for live single-session or multi-week workshops is subject to scheduled dates. If a session must be rescheduled by us, you will be offered a makeup date or equivalent access.

• 1:1 Services: Mentorship and editing services are scheduled upon mutual agreement following purchase.

3. Payment & Refund Policy

• Digital Products & Self-Guided Courses: All transactions are processed securely at checkout. Due to the digital nature of online self-guided courses, all sales are final once access is delivered.

• Live Workshops: All live workshop sales are final and non-refundable. If a session must be rescheduled by us, you will be offered a makeup date or equivalent access.

• 1:1 Services: 1:1 mentorship and editing services are generally non-refundable. However, we understand that unexpected situations arise, and requests for rescheduling or refunds will be evaluated on a case-by-case basis. If you need to reschedule, please notify us at least 48 hours prior to your scheduled session.

4. Code of Conduct & Participation

We strive to foster a safe, respectful, and supportive environment for all writers. We reserve the right to remove any participant from live workshops, courses, or community spaces without refund if their behavior is deemed harassing, discriminatory, or disruptive to the instructor or other attendees.

5. Code of Conduct & Participation

Technology & Access Disclaimers: We are not responsible for technical failures, internet outages, platform downtime (such as Squarespace, Zoom, or email delivery issues), or incompatibility with a participant's device that prevents access to our website, digital materials, or live sessions. Where possible, we will provide recordings or makeup access for technical interruptions originating on our end.

6. Intellectual Property & Participant Work

• Our Content: All original course materials, video and audio recordings, workbooks, text, and website content remain the intellectual property of The Poetry Vessel and its instructors.

• Your Work & Submissions: By sharing your writing or poetry during live sessions or within community spaces, you grant the instructor and fellow participants permission to view, read aloud, and discuss your work for educational and feedback purposes. You retain full copyright and ownership of all original work you submit.

7. Limitation of Liability & Disclaimers

• Educational Purpose: The Poetry Vessel’s educational programs, courses, workshops, and coaching are intended for creative enrichment. Our services are educational and artistic in nature and do not constitute professional psychological, therapeutic, or medical advice.

• Outcomes: We do not guarantee specific publication, commercial, or career outcomes.

8. Governing Law

These Terms of Service and any separate agreements whereby we provide services to you shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of California, without regard to its conflict of law provisions.
